We’re working on a better way

We believe that a good database is the lifeblood of an organization. That’s we’re investing almost all our Research and Development resources into our database Crafter tool. To help us understand what makes a good database, we researched dozens of organizations, asking questions such as:

  • How do you currently store your data? (Excel, Access, cloud-based service?)
    • How accurate and reliable is it?
    • How user-friendly is it?
    • Does it minimize human error?
  • How compatible is it with your organization’s workflow?
    • Does it minimize repetitive or tedious tasks?
  • Can you easily extract the reports that you need?

Flexibility is key

Many database providers offer systems that focus on one specific task or constituent, e.g. Donor management. However, our systems are flexible enough to allow systems to “talk” to one another, or even overlap. For example, if a donor is also a volunteer, then you would only need to enter their basic information once. Or perhaps your Staff system could then “talk” to both systems, so that when you add a new staff member, they become available as a manager in the Volunteer system.

Your reports would take into account data from all systems, so that you can have a clear picture of what’s happening in your organization at all times.

Don’t hesitate to let us help you figure out which type of system would be best for you to keep your organization running smoothly.
